So, turns out Trump’s tax returns won’t immediately be turned over to a House committee. Trump’s lawyers will get to continue to litigate the issue before a federal judge in DC. Doc:

it's his seemingly unlimited ability to litigate his way out of nearly any problem until everybody else just gives up or runs out of resources. It is absolutely bonkers insane

This is why I never get excited about the "trump is in big trouble" headlines. I'm convinced he's never gonna face any consequences.

I know the party out of the White House is supposed to win Congress in the off years, but I see the GOP continuously marginalizing itself, losing more swing voters all the time. It's approach to the Jan 6th investigation and the pandemic has got to be losing them voters. I don't think that losing Congress on the midterm is a done deal, even with the gerrymandering.

I think the biggest fear is revealing he's always been faking his "vast" wealth.
That's way more embarrassing to him than being accused of a petty tax crime.

...their tax returns at request of the Congress.

If this had been on the books 5 years ago, we probably would have went thru none of this mess.

While they are at it, they could pass legislation making all "acting" Cabinet officials require Congressional approval after 30 days. Why was Trump permitted to have so many "acting" Department heads? That should never happen again.

that was clear in the reporting. Barring a judicial meltdown this is the very short endgame.
