(821 posts)You twist everything to explain how you were right and good, and everyone else was bad. And that anything bad that happened wasn't your fault.
He's a malevolent and ignorant child. Most of the so-called leadership standing behind him are merely opportunists who hope to grab power when he inevitable sticks his tongue in a light socket.

(5,445 posts)remember his supporters believe him to be a beacon of freedom and a promoter of democracy. He's playing to his audience. In the Trump world, reality is what he says is and his minions buy in.
Just listen to his twisted narrative and you know where he's coming from. He's been claiming that democracy was subverted by Democrats and he has been crusading against the fraud. If his coup had succeeded that would be the justification.
He must not succeed. Laughing at him in front of his supporters is probably helpful.

(863 posts)I've noticed that most accounts I've seen paraphrase the part about "congressional allies", though the actual quote I saw referred specifically to Republican Congressional allies. This strikes me as a type of both siderism, downplaying the partisan nature of this seditious act.

He knows he has been caught dead to rights. It all depends on how far the DOJ wants to push it?

(111,110 posts)What did you mean when you said you wanted the DOJ to declare the election "corrupt' and then "leave the rest to you and your 'R' Congressmen?
Why did you not believe your own DOJ and AGs when they told you the election was not rigged?
Who told you differently?
