Joseph Flynn, social media troll, disinformation spreader, and brother of Michael Flynn, now has covid. He was suspended by twitter last night after he posted that he went to a farm supply store and bought a drug used to kill parasites in animals to treat himself.

The drug he is taking, ivermectin, was featured on a Tucker Carlson show as a covid treatment. The FDA strongly recommends against taking this drug for covid. Oddly enough, Flynn got covid after attending this event at the “DeltaPlex” arena, where he was a featured speaker.

You may remember Valentine as the conservative talk radio host who refused to get vaccinated, calling himself a skeptic. He's now been in the hospital a couple of weeks and needs to be placed on an ECMO machine, a sophisticated piece of medical equipment that goes far beyond a normal ventilator. They're reserved for the sickest of the sick and aren't at every hospital. Valentine needs to be moved.

His radio station have a "Pray for Phil" campaign going. Rather than slag a man on death's doorstep, I'll just mention that praying for a man who refused to get the vaccine, choosing instead a cocktail of high doses of Vitamin D and ivermectin, a drug commonly used to control parasites in animals, would be a really tall order.

1. If he got tested and diagnosed, then he must have suspected he had COVID. This is an admission that it is not a made-up illness.
2. If he went to a doctor who diagnosed him, then he must have had serious enough symptoms to warrant going to the doctor, where he learned the disease is real.
3. After getting the positive test, he must have been told that he was contagious and should quarantine. Instead he went to a store and met other people.

Ivermectin, the latest supposed treatment for COVID-19 being touted by anti-vaccination groups, had “no effect whatsoever” on the disease, according to a large patient study.

That’s the conclusion of the Together Trial, which has subjected several purported nonvaccine treatments for COVID-19 to carefully designed clinical testing. The trial is supervised by McMaster University in Hamilton, Canada, and conducted in Brazil.....

Among the 1,500 patients in the study, he said, Ivermectin showed “no effect whatsoever” on the trial’s outcome goals — whether patients required extended observation in the emergency room or hospitalization.

“In our specific trial,” he said, “we do not see the treatment benefit that a lot of the advocates believe should have been” seen.....

The findings on Ivermectin are yet another blow for advocates promoting the drug as a magic bullet against COVID-19. Ivermectin was developed as a treatment for parasitical diseases, mostly for veterinarians, though it’s also used against some human parasites.
