Cornyn wins elections because unfortunately, we have independents in Texas who will vote for Democrats in some races, but then vote for Cornyn. Cornyn has good constituent services and things like that....(Seriously Cornyn doesn't just have good constituent services, he has excellent constituent services. I can't go into details, but I made use of them at one time. It was a serious issue, but even with Cornyn being GOP, he went to bat for us..My congressman was Bonilla-R at the time and he never did a thing and never responded) This was in 2005

Then in 2017, I was active in Indivisible, so we payed both senator's offices visits frequently. Cornyn's staffer had a picture of himself with Obama on his shelf (the staffer, not Cornyn)...Cornyn's office had C-Span in the waiting area and some of the staffers had MSNBC on their TVs...The staffers always treated us with respect...AKA Cornyn is really good with PR.....We could not convince Cornyn to vote against the GOP's "American Health Act"...but still...This his how Cornyn wins re-election with good PR and catching flies with honey.....

The anti-vaxxers only like Ted Cruz etc. (Ted Cruz has horrible constituent services, unless you are a Republican)..His office staff is rude and unprofessional. They play Fox News in the waiting area. They are just horrible...

Beto came much closer to beating Ted Cruz than MJ Hager came to beating Cornyn.
