(58,785 posts)What's unusual, with two black women competing, is all those who've come out and said so.

(77,323 posts)BTW Nina Turner is a nasty piece of work who could lose the Ds the seat if she wins the primary.

(6,713 posts)There's no threat of losing the seat regardless of who wins tonight.

(77,323 posts)And in 2016 she was more than willing to stir up the Bernie Bros to vote against Hillary or not
vote at all. That was a big help to the Russians who were supporting Trump at the time.

(7,273 posts)A pac, I might add, heavily supported by Republicans.
Why do Republicans want Shontel Brown so badly? And why DON'T they want Nina Turner so much that they spent multiple millions of $$ to keep her out?
Questions with no answers. Why are we helping them? Because we're told to? I thought we were smarter than that.

(52,134 posts)She became a Democrat to run in the Democratic primary, just like her benefactor Sanders has been doing in the Vermont Senatorial primaries. Did not support the Democratic candidate in 2016 and thus is personally responsible for the Trump and Trumpism that will control politics until he collapses during a heart attack. And, of course her Bowl of sh*t comment that she never took back.
Dont be surprised if, once elected, she will change party.

(7,273 posts)I know which group has more influence to throw around, and it sure ain't us.
And the question remains, why do we do their bidding.

(20,595 posts)Thats what Nena said, after all.
Doremus
(7,273 posts)Because it's been repeated so many times it's lost all its shock value.
What else do you have to justify your glee that Republicans are attacking a candidate in the Dem primary here?
BannonsLiver
(20,595 posts)Do you agree with Nena?
Doremus
(7,273 posts)Her choice of words was unfortunate, I agree. I understand why she said them and why she was so upset.
Did you ever say anything you later regretted?
BannonsLiver
(20,595 posts)Im still not understanding why she said it. I felt pretty good about voting for Joe Biden, and so did a lot of other people. Nena was making an ideological purity argument which is in my view rather idealistic, ill timed and naive given what we were up against last November.

(7,273 posts)Cause I can't imagine anyone living here who wouldn't notice the barrage of attack ads aimed at Turner for months now. Seriously, based on my observations, DMFI has outspent Turner 6-1.
But you didn't mention those nasty ads. Why?

(71,542 posts)any chance of me voting for her in a primary in 16...a general sure.
