CONFIRMED: President Biden is expected to announce a new federal eviction moratorium to replace the one that expired on Saturday targeting counties with elevated rates of coronavirus infections, according to WH and Hill sources. It's expected to cover 90% of renters population.

We control the House, Senate, and White House. We must keep people housed.

(10,255 posts)They need to get paid, and without jumping through hoops or wading through 50 page applications.
I seriously doubt if most of them really want to evict tenants who lost their incomes because of the pandemic. They just want to be able to pay the mortgages on their properties. If the properties go to the banks everyone loses.

(8,678 posts)The states need to make it easier and faster to apply and get their funds. We should be pressing our governors to release this money stat.
This new moratorium gives everyone breathing room to keep people housed and not in crowded shelters during this recent Covid spike
