I have been trying to find info on the attack yesterday. They admitted a policeman was kill with a knife. They said that there was a ton of gunfire and many casualties. After that it has been silence.
Why the silence and why the secrecy on the attack. There is way more to this story and the silence scares me.

(11,197 posts)CNN)The suspect in the violent attack outside the Pentagon on Tuesday that resulted in a death of a Pentagon police officer has been identified as 27-year-old Austin William Lanz of Georgia, according to a law enforcement official and Lanz's former attorney Lisa Wells. Lanz died from injuries sustained in the attack, Wells told CNN.
A senior defense official told CNN that the officer, George Gonzalez, was stabbed by the assailant and that other officers responded rapidly and shot the suspect.
The FBI's Washington field office confirmed Lanz as the suspect on Twitter Wednesday and said that he died by suicide using the service weapon of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency officer he had fatally wounded.
According to the FBI's tweet, Lanz "exited a bus at the Pentagon Transit Center" and "immediately, without provocation, attacked" Gonzalez with a knife.

There's not much more to say. Another senseless tragedy.

(34,407 posts)yesterday the victim was reportedly shot, but then it was reported he was stabbed. They mention casualties but don't provide any more information. Today, the assailant committed suicide with the weapon he took from the victim he had stabbed, and in the very same article was killed by responding officers. Don't know what happened to casualties. Guess they recovered fast.

Two law enforcement sources previously told CNN that an officer had been shot during the incident. But later Tuesday, a defense official familiar with the initial reports said the officer was stabbed by an assailant and other officers responded rapidly and shot the suspect.
================================
Chief Woodrow Kusse did tell reporters during the briefing that an officer was attacked on a bus platform outside the building and that the incident was over, with "no continuing threat" to the area.
"Gunfire was exchanged and there were several casualties," he said. While Kusse acknowledged there were several injuries, he would not say whether anyone was killed in the incident.
Kusse also said, after being pressed multiple times by reporters, that law enforcement is "not actively looking for another suspect at this time."
The "shooting event" occurred on the bus platform on the Pentagon complex and prompted a lockdown of the building with no personnel allowed outside, according to a message that was sent to the Pentagon workforce by the Pentagon Force Protection Agency.

Lanz briefly enlisted with the US Marine Corps in 2012 but never earned the title of Marine, according to Maj. Jim Stenger, Marine Corps spokesperson.

(607 posts)Still not sure why it isnt.
My feeling is they are trying to keep it low so others wont attack. My feeling is it is not a conspiracy.
The silence is deafening.
I have been alive many years and I have never seen this kind of reporting.
