*YAY* - "step aside!" - took long enough blathering time to spit it out

I tuned in while he was still rationaliziing, backhanded apologizing, claiming to be the victim. Yeah-yeah, "I had more women in high places than any previous administration" ---- (in Triumph the Dog's voice: ) yeah, to treat as a personal HAREM!

The Mob/bully dialect/accent the same as Drumpf's - and bullies have two modulations: the BRUTE sound and the self-pitying sound. And both are repulsive.

We're not losing a Dem. We're cleansing.

***********ON EDIT: In response to Poster #5's suggestion for a clarification: Thank you for pointing out that "Mobs" come in several ethnicities. I admit being prejudiced to *crime* Mobs, and I believe that all humans and categories of humans are a total mixture of good and bad characteristics, so my prejudice is towards the criminal compartment in ALL of them for their criminality, totally not based on the ethnicity. For the person who took offense based on a capital letter, I find that "reason" to be unreasonable.

And thanks to the poster who pointed out that I equated "Mob" with DRUMPF, which I have been doing for a couple or few years. There is a RUSSIAN Mob, by the bye. And I love TCHAIKOVSKY, RIMSKI-KORSAKOV, and many other Russians.

Also, there is zero wrong with taking legit shots at the Catholic church, which has been a chief force, directly and indirectly, for the torture, abuse, misery, and killing of millions of people for almost 2000 years.

And what the hell do you think Francis is? He is what the Argentinians call a “Tano” short for Neopalitano. Italian is the second most spoken language there. Canada has French-Canadians and Argentina has Italian-Argentinians

The mob comes in all ethnicities.

The OP capitalized it, so that may have prompted the assumption that it was a reference to the Italian/American Mob.

Perhaps the OP will clarify, or possibly edit.

Editing to add: I think it's safe to say that most Italian/Americans are not part of The Mob.

I'm of mostly German descent, but I certainly don't take personal offense when someone uses the term "Nazi" being used in a derogatory way.

It's great for people to have pride in their heritage, but there is no such thing as perfect lineage. There are good and bad elements in every ethnicity. (I know there's a better way to word that, but I can't think of it right now.)

claiming it was an ethnic slur. Back then Admin responded it was not so, that it was a common comedy thing.

As for Germans versus Nazi, I have often cringed when comedians do zingers aimed at specific characteristics supposedly equating the two. I use "Nazi" for horrible fascist acts and have often posted that there are Right Wing elements in all countries.

is been second guessed or denied.

Here in New York (and I would wager in many places) "The Mob" is not a reference to the Russian mob, or any any other "ethnic" group. Where I live, it means one thing and one thing alone.

I enjoyed listening to him and his brother taking the piss on Chris’ CNN show. I’m sad that he turned out to be so revolting. To be honest, I’ve been busy all summer and haven’t seen much tv. Was he accused of rape as well as touching and inappropriate name calling? I don’t recall a trial.

unwanted touching, heavy "flirting" talk, and then some retaliation. "Accused" being the key word.

That said, "accused," as for there not being a trial (yet) there *WAS* a five months' investigation that gives all impressions of being impartial without any comments from our Democratic side or *anybody* impugning it, and the findings were clear about validating the allegations. Enough for the President, Speaker, several Dem high office holders to call for his resignation.

For the sentiment that surfaces that we should go to the mat to defend him on the grounds that somebody thinks this is a political dirty trick to get rid of an effective Dem, we went down that road with Bill CLINTON. And I was every bit of defending him as much as any little individual like me (not a high and mighty anybody).

The lesson I got from the CLINTON occurrence was that we spent all of our energy, resources, money defending ONE INDIVIDUAL at the expense of all that that could/should have been spent on working on our Democratic AGENDA. It is so hard to get the Office, the chance is *precious*, and to have it all set aside just to defend one individual is a gigantic waste and distraction. It helps the wingnuts by taking us away from our AGENDA.

But even while I was deep in defending CLINTON, I also said back then in real time that both he and the woman were *SELFISH* and stupid for putting their bad behavior ahead of what our Democratic membership is for.

*******As for the other sentiment that DUE PROCESS is needed, I say that that's what the investigation kicked into gear, and there will likely be legal things happening -- and it's FOR HIM to defend himself with all the due process - not for us to do the defending.

**** And if CLINTON had resigned, we would have had President GORE free and clear. Just as there's going to be a good Democratic governor for NY.

Living in the keys, most of our news comes out of Miami, and this summer the greatest part of it was about the condo collapse and of course Covid. And throw in a couple of tropical storms etc.

Well that’s a shame. To be honest, I’m surprised something like that didn’t happen to Joe, because he is a hugger, etc. But perhaps he knows what not to touch when he’s hugging.
