Thanking members of the opposing party who voted for this infrastructure bill. Saying that he's already called some of them. Something there was no way would ever have been said or done by TFG. He'd have choked on the words 'thank you'.
I've waited a LONG TIME for this man to be POTUS - and I'm thrilled to see it has finally happened.

(7,284 posts)Indeed! I am not one that enthusiastic for him in the Primaries. But once he clinched that, I most definitely got behind him and looked so forward to moments like this.
Graciousness is a quality of character Biden exudes naturally. I remember a time, when graciousness, gratitude, gestures of appreciation was the norm. Was expected, without prodding.
I love that he's bringing the principle of decency back to the White House.
I love that we all are appreciative of these kinds of values.
