and wondered if Tuberville understood that, instead of his intended insult toward Democrats, he was actually putting an end to the lie that Republicans started. He does seem a bit on the dim side.

Tuberville didn't have the faintest idea that Booker was mocking him unmercifully, and if you explained it to him ten times over, he STILL wouldn't get it.
