With Kathy Hochul becoming Governor, New York’s first woman State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins will assume the role of Acting Lieutenant Governor.

This is the first time New York State will have two women in our government’s highest offices.

... I'm cautiously optimistic that these two women will right the ship of New York State. If LG Hochul does things right, NY could be in for some positive developments. Sen. Stewart-Cousins is a tough operator, I believe. These two women could really do great things for NY.

Yes, quite a story: it's almost all because of male perfidy and sexual shenanigans.

If you haven't seen it, you absolutely must.

Quite frankly, you come away from watching this segment saying men are unqualified to hold office. Guess it's their hormones. And their inability to actually serve the populace. Too often service shifts to obsessions with ego and power. They're into empire building while the women actually care about people.

When the NYC mayoral race was going on, I heard a caller to our local public radio say, "I will not vote for another man for office in this city or state."

Now I understand why he said that.

Now obviously this is not the case for all men. Think Joe, Bernie, and many other men. However, it is striking how many cases there were in NY.

13. Hillary Clinton comes to mind.

For too many, her ability to effectively lead the country was in doubt for the simple fact that she was a woman. I still recall one jaw-dropping reason one voter had for voting for Trump: Hillary would might be too emotional while on her period. She's a post-menopausal woman...

I wonder if that person voted for Trump a second time after four years of Trump's complete lack of emotional regulation.
