My 71 year old mom complains about medicare all the time but she won't refuse it, nor will she vote for a politician who wants to give to everybody, cause that would be socialism and too expensive.

Fast food workers have to work because they are considered essential???? They get to expose themselves to a deadly pandemic just so they can earn pennies, eat and pay their rent. They are not essential. No one has ever died from NOT eating a McDonald's burger. But I bet a lot of people have died from having to work at McDonalds, Wendy's, Taco Bell, KFC, Chick-fil-A, Arby's and Dairy Queen.

Btw, senators typically have congressional staffs of several dozen professionals. Plus, all the committees bills come out of also have high-level staffs, Lawrence O'Donnell-type professionals. OF COURSE Democratic senators and their staffers not only actually research, negotiate, and create the Democratic legislation the senate votes on, but of course they read, analyze, and if called for negotiate changes to the other bills they vote on.

There are only two independent senators, so perhaps Senator Sanders is the only one of those who reads all bills before voting?
