Many times in my years on DU I have searched and found nothing only to post it and find out it has already been posted.

That is a major reason I rarely post to Late Breaking News anymore. I go to the trouble to make sure all the formatting is correct only to have my post deleted later as a duplicate.

And yes many articles are posted and reposted here over and over.
Occasionally I will post a similar article that has already been posted because what I am posting has new or different material. Rather than tag it onto the original article where it may not be seen I will post it as a new OP.

But your point is correct and well deserved.
Maybe I will repost it (just kidding).
