Given how widespread the people falling from the planes videos are

Not great.

This was Trump's agreement. And it was the Biden administration's execution. Right now, the media are laser focused on what is one hell of a horrid execution.

What I can't believe I'm seeing is, "Who knew it would be this bad?!"

Our intelligence did. Going back months. Newspaper articles and intelligence reports were discussing this back in May. It's all getting reposted online now.

The administration is going to take a severe hit, and deflection ain't gonna work when people are absolutely rapt with the photos and videos coming out of all this. Saigon? We wish this was Saigon. Saigon didn't have phone cameras everywhere.

When it comes to politics, it's going to be a fairly devastating blow. What happened over the past few months will all wash out in a deluge. We'll see all the reports, the warnings, the analyses. The question is for how long? Given our media's general attention span, and Covid forcing most of us to concentrate on a ton of domestic problems, this could be a blip by midterms.

I think it's the best we can hope for on a purely political level.

I bet Andrew Cuomo is right now thinking, "Damn. I should've waited a week."
