Why so many posts about Trump's comments on DU?

Trump can't get his message out on Twitter,
but it seems his every comment gets posted here on DU.

I can see posting something if it is newsworthy
but not his every comment to Fox News, etc.

Just my humble opinion, of course.

Lulz.

And watch out for incoming rockets if you ever happen to say anything complimentary (or even "neutral'') about any Republican who said or did something worthy of positive recognition or appreciation. Such things are considered by many online to be damn-near treachery.

Give Liz Cheney credit for doing what is right and bash her when she is wrong. MF45 is a Narcissist, ignoring him is the worst thing to do to him.

I took offense when numerous posters here gave credit to moderate Democrats for passing the infrastructure bill while at the same time ripping progressive Democrats. What a turn of fate that stance took, ehh with the 9 moderates bucking Speaker Pelosi. (Not picking on all moderate Democrats, just 9 of them.)

I presume you're referring to Trump... and I can assure you that he doesn't care one way or the other what people on DU say about him. But the silly nicknames and ever-changing acronyms do not contribute to the easy flow of a conversation or the exchange of information and ideas.

(Not picking on all moderate Democrats, just 9 of them.)

latest book or excerpts, I think you'd get the answer to your question. Ignore him at our own peril. As much as we'd like to think he'd go into obscurity if we just gave him zero attention, he is very dangerous with a very significant percentage of his extremist audience still "with him," and the de facto, yet very active head of the Republican Party. He wields his power behind the scenes in ways very reminiscent of Hitler 1933-34.

We sought to ignore Trump and merely ridicule him in 2015/2016. How did that work out? With all the anti-voting measures his party is effectively enacting he or someone just like him COULD return to full power. Until he loses power in significant measure with Republicans, he is damned dangerous.

DUers are intelligent enough to know that. Ignore at our own peril.

Trump's words can cause a lot of anxiety. DU, In my opinion should be safe from Trump. We all know where to go if we want to read what that piece of shit has to say. Besides, by the time it gets on DU, it's already been seen since Trump gets posted everywhere so why keep seeing him on DU?

has put in place to protect yourself from such offense. Use of trash threads, trash keywords and even ignore posters is YOUR answer.

Politics and political discussion are not for the faint of heart. Especially in recent years.

Democratic discussion boards are the means by which we can communicate and organize. We can't do so with blinders on, no matter how more relaxing (less "anxiety-producing" ) that might be.

That little mantra has proven itself to me every single time. Ignore it at your peril. It may be true that whatever news might be 'old' by the time it hits the pages of DU (in today's terms, 'old news' means it has been posted for over two hours), but it is still 'news' to those who did not realize something was happening. I'd rather be reminded of the evil in the world one hundred times than try to ignore it and let it run rampant.
