What do they expect after trashing him for a week? Even John Helieman is pissing me off. If Biden is weakened its gonna be hard for him to get things passed. Blah blah..Keep bashing him assholes and we will end up with Ron Desantis or someone worse.. Time to fast forward to all this crap again

(31,045 posts)Every time. I know we need to win elections. But we cant live by the day-to-day polls. The president has to make a decisions he thinks are right and will work, he cant listen to the clamoring class all the time.

(12,326 posts)with all the bashing going on. So far as weaken, nope.
As to the "freedom" of the press, their effed up RW US SC might do a job on them. Nevertheless, I think Democracy will survive.
Secondly, Joe S is not mentioning that his fellow comrades will fight to keep the Afghans off the shores of the USA.
Thirdly, Pres. Biden popularity remains strong.

(35,364 posts)right now. That's what Trump did blame the media and call them names. You take the military out and then try to evacuate people? Shouldn't they have done the opposite get the people out first?

(32,793 posts)Had President Biden added troops back it would have gone against the shameful deal tfg brokered and would have been seen as breaking that deal. Part of the deal was to allow Americans and others to leave peacefully without attack. Bidens hands were tied!!

(35,364 posts)We didn't have enough troops to evacuate people someone should have known. The military or our
so called military intelligence sure miscalculatrd. IMO

(2,868 posts)The MSM has been flogging the snap Morning Consult poll showing that support for Biden's withdrawal plan has fallen from 69% in May to 49% on Sunday, a whopping 20 point drop. What they FAIL to mention, is that poll is 49% in favor and 37% opposed. The fact that the plan still has a net +12 approval after Biden being incessantly pummeled indicates it was more of political shift than a shift in support.

(3,168 posts)This is the outrage du jour that Republicans have been searching for, and they're all crying about the poor Afghan people while simultaneously saying that they shouldn't be brought to America. Even in their concern for them, they still don't want the dirty Muslims to come here.
Of course, they wouldn't give a shit if these poor Afghanis were coming from Central America, now would they?

(19,114 posts)As long as the next week of evacuations goes without incident, in 2 weeks this will be viewed as a win for Biden.
