Biden to make COVID-19 nursing home staff vaccinations a condition for receiving Medicare, Medicaid

WASHINGTON, Aug 18 (Reuters) - U.S. President Joe Biden's administration will require nursing home staff be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition for their facilities to receive funds from the public Medicare and Medicaid insurance programs, the Associated Press reported on Wednesday.

One place had 17 die of Covid in ten days. Patients there are extremely vulnerable and should be afforded every bit of protection possible.

This should be extended to hospitals as well — anybody who works with health-compromised people (or with anyone who walks into any health care facility, really) has a moral obligation to get vaccinated.

generally far below registered nurses and doctors in terms of professional qualifications, and look at some of those 2 groups, especially nurses, in terms of whingeing and raging).
