Of Chicken Littles on this site.

I'm no sunny optimist, but I find their defeatist attitude grating and utterly unhelpful. It may even be damaging.

we have the White House , the Senate, and the House but oh shit what about 2022-2024!!! ...Joe promised to get us out of a 20 year debacle, a war that cost us fathers, mothers, sons, daughters...arms/legs/faces..getting out was always going to be a clusterfuck...too many variables and outliers...Joe knows this..he also knows that as the situation on the ground changes so do the solutions...everything is fluid..what I find particularly disgusting is that Dems are supposed have Joe's back so why the fuck are so many buying into the war hungry GOP/MSM narrative?..and something else..there's a whole generation of 20/30 somethings who don't give a damn about Afghanistan...they do give a damn about a return to life without Covid, jobs, equal rights, gun reform, voting rights...so how about a show of support instead of knives out!!!

3. Agree with that. Biden is not significantly weakened, at least yet.

He has to get most of the Americans and eligible Afghans out. But not necessarily by August, September, or longer.

And he may get pressured in humanitarian aspects.

And he has to avoid conflicting messages among the WH, military, State Department, intelligence, video media reports, etc. Have faith in Biden, but still. . . . . . this is a big friggin deal that some people seem satisfied with mediocre, at best so far.

I just hope that they are paying close attention to the situation on the ground and won't be caught off-guard again.

the old Republican establishment, e.g. Cheneys and Bushes, as they try to take back the Republican party from the Trumpists. So Biden's bold move in Afghanistan is too radical for them. They (conservative non-Trumpists) do not like the foreign policy reset that Biden is making.

It won't even matter in 2 weeks time. The number of people who pay attention to the news is a small fraction of the country. With football season starting, not many will give a hoot in a few weeks.

No one is going to vote for Desantis in 2024 because Biden had the Afghanistan thing 3 years prior.

...if all these slimy Republicans and their stooges are so upset why didn't they and trump starting pulling people out years ago instead of trying to overthrow our government?

...they're hostile to letting people in, they're hostile to not letting people in...

...Republicans are assholes...
