He doesn't like kids and wouldn't be speaking to a child. I don't imagine children care much for him, either. A 5 year-old would probably run away from him, wouldn't answer his questions.

"Woke" was officially added to the dictionary in 2017, it means to be awake to sensitive social issues, such as racism. That sort of thing makes you a loser in the eyes of insensitive racists, like Trump.
