Someone explain it to me

Obama (and Biden) wanted to withdraw. Trump wanted to withdraw and made the "deal" to make it happen. Biden is honoring the deal as best he can...and, as someone said, the Afghan withdrawal had only bad or worse scenarios to choose from.

Now, Biden is taking a beating, not only for choosing a worst option, but simply for withdrawing...as I understand, there would have been consequences had he not adhered to the withdrawal agreement. So, it's damned if you do and damned if you don't?
