He is 20.
It is raining and I have several windows open. He is outside, sitting on his porch and singing to himself in his native language. Of course, I have no idea what the translation would be but I am enjoying, just listening to him..
The song is soft and seems kind of sad. I could walk over and ask him about the song but why spoil our mood. I will just continue listening to him.

Still love it though!
do Vietnamese folk work there? There's always the possibility yo' neighbor is a food snob
Everyone there is Vietnamese, so I was very confused when my neighbor said that.
I suspect you may be right.

(37,160 posts)The food you'll get at a Chinese restaurant in the US isn't the same as the original dishes in China. Most of the recipes have been altered (or some just invented) to be more appealing to a non-Chinese customer base.
Heck, the same phenomenon happened with Italian dishes, and probably every other immigrant group.

That may not sound like anything to you but it changed a lot peoples lives. He was from Nepal and was lost in a strange country. Her help turned him and lots of his friends and relatives into the best friends for life.
She helped them with their paper work that led to citizen ship for many than no idea of how to navigate the system.
I think she must be famous in that country now if you were to look at many friends she has from Nepal on her Facebook page and all of the letters and cards she gets. Our dream is to visit Nepal and meet some of those friend she has never seen in person.
It cost nothing to be nice. She is a saint.

Bengalis have a culture that values reading , debates, conversations, learning etc and he might be happy to talk about it.
