ABC has on average about 7,407,000 viewers per night. Fox News Prime Time on the other hand has around 1,537,000 viewers per night

Rachel Maddow brought up a O'Reilly claim about his ratings, which he said were higher at the time.

Rachel showed 2 cable shows that beat O'Reilly's ratings, by a lot.

One was a reality show about a guy who still panned for gold the old-fashioned way.

The other was a panel discussion of one of those "Walking Dead" TV shows.

This speaks volumes to me.

... are not the same viewers who are watching all those Faux Noise programs.

The Faux shows get "higher" ratings only because so many tv's are set to that channel and cannot be changed. It doesn't mean any live humans are actually watching the shows.
