The effects of this storm will extend into Mississippi, Arkansas and Tennessee. If the landfall tracks a little farther eastward, it will also affect the Mobile, Alabama area, the most feverish hotspot in that COVID-wracked state.

... temporary hospitals set up in parking structures, low vaccination rates, and surging Covid cases are about to be whacked by a hurricane that will force people to evacuate or to crowd into storm shelters, and cause massive power outages.

And if memory serves these are also the states with a large percentage of people that think God actively intervenes in the physical world through manipulation of meteorlogical phenomina. So... what did they do to piss God off?

I'm guessing God's thought process is like this: "I sent not one, not two, but THREE vaccines, and that's somehow not a clear enough fucking sign for those idiots! I even made them FREE!"
