Romney wasn't THAT bad at the dinner.

Couldn't watch the Al Smith dinner speeches live, but from what I read here, Romney was all but giving the President the finger. He doesn't have the President's grace or style, and yes he's a cold blooded reptile at heart, but it wasn't as bad as some suggested. Mitt is used to having one foot in his mouth anyway, so if he stumbled over the line a bit here and there . . .

By Romney's low-brow measure, it wasn't that bad. I watched both speeches (just the speeches) on Mediaite. Both got in some barbs. Mitt's didn't go over as well, but they didn't sink to the depth I was expecting, particularly given that there may be no blood in his veins.
