From the article:
"Neither of the Steadmans were vaccinated.
Both of us felt that it hadnt been tested enough yet. Now after being in the hospital and talking with my doctor, when I am able to take it, I will in September, she said."

You know... It's sad... It really is. This entire tragedy (and sooo many others) lie right at the feet of DeSantis and every other right wing murderer that continue to push their lies about covid and the vaccine.

(15,812 posts)Can't convince her to go to the hospital. She's had extreme fatigue for a week and a half. Her husband was diagnosed with Covid a few days ago and remains in the hospital.
When I spoke with her this morning, she coughed. I mentioned pneumonia; it simply doesn't sink in with her.
If he gets released, I won't be surprised to learn she died at home. I'm talking to her everyday, but have been unable to convince her to get to the hospital.
She doesn't believe in covid apparently.

(15,812 posts)It's not my dad. He's her husband. I've been married longer than they have.
Never would've predicted that his fox-watching butt would find itself in a hospital. he clearly has more sense than she does.
Sorry, angry at the situation.

(2,962 posts)I couldn't get my father away from the VA hospital.
They really killed him.
Tried to get him to a decent Dr.
There is only so much you can do.

(13,110 posts)I have zero sympathy for any of them.
If they have children they should be taken away. (This couple did not have children)
They are too stupid to raise children.
I can't believe they agree to be interviewed.
If they are looking for, or expecting sympathy that ship sailed long ago.
649,867 dead so far.
Fuck all of them.

ProfessorGAC
(65,161 posts)...distributed, about 4.4 billion administered.
That does include, however, vaccines not used in the US, including a huge number in China.
It's actually 365,000,000 in the US, as well.
If we add in the UK, Canada, the EU, and Australia, it's nearly 900 million!
There has barely been any testing regime within 3 orders of magnitude of these vaccines.
I actually don't believe people who say that.
It's a pseudoscientific excuse to cover up some other stupid motivation for refusing the vax.
Botany
(70,577 posts)...from their late teens up to about 45 @ a rate that was less then 5 in million (? I think) and that turned out to be just about the
same rate you would see in a normal population of women in those age ranges. But the odds of that same population of women
getting blood clotting problems from C-19 was many many times higher.
I had to laugh when some woman named Ms. Davis of Springfield, MO said she was upset with the way Dr. Fauci was researching
the vaccine.
BTW I think 365 million is a pretty good sample size. thanx for the update on the #s.
ProfessorGAC
(65,161 posts)What a dolt! There are thousands doing the research. Fauci's job is to understand that work & advise decision makers.
His job has nothing to do with researching the vaccines.
Ms. Davis is just spewing some pseudointellectual nonsense to cover her actual, idiotic reasons for not getting vaxxed.
Botany
(70,577 posts)development and he might have been in communication with some of the researchers but what that woman was saying was just gibberish. She didn't like the way they had sequenced out the virus' RNA genome? The morphology was off on the spike protein?
I read her comments about 1.5 months ago and she was unvaccinated in Springfield, MO good chance she has the disease or is dead now.
Do these people understand why we don't have people in
iron lungs for polio anymore?

(58,785 posts)the "cleaners" spending less than a half hour (15 minutes by her count), and finding they'd cut the soiled part out of the mattress, presumably leaving the mattress? Whether they technically fulfilled their function or flat ripped her off, that's all wrong. Hope getting that in the local paper leads to nothing but trouble for the "cleaners."

They're refusing the vax for other dumb reasons and use the "not enough testing" thing as cover.
Likely the case with these 2.

How many died because of them consuming resources needed by others?
