His leadership is needed and he came out strong and compassionate and assured Americans of our resolve to complete the mission. That was great.

I did feel better after hearing his press conference. This is a tough situation and pulling out of any country is unlikely to happen cleanly. And it seems like there were no clear right decisions, and even if there were mistakes, it is a hellauva lot better than what Trump would do (which is to pretend that we were having a “big, beautiful pullout.”). Democrats should not be punished for being much more honest than Republicans.

Right now, it's at an all-time high.

All the hand wringing over the withdrawal not being smooth as silk every step of the way is ridiculous. Can you imagine the bloodbath that would have taken place if Chump was in charge?

Jared and Co. would probably be selling tickets out of the country to the highest bidders while all the interpreters and others who helped the U.S. were left to be murdered by the Taliban.

is that having been in the Senate previously - for 36 years - and then a VP for 8 years, he has a deep deep knowledge of what is going on over there, particularly since he was Chair of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee when 9/11 happened. So he saw "the beginning" of this conflict, including what lead up to it (and all the intelligence info back then), and he is seeing it through "to the end".

The US lost this war 15 years ago. President Biden is doing what should have been done Then and he is doing it as cautiously as anyone possibly could. He’s got brains, guts, determination, and compassion. I wish him well and support him 100%.
