Released body cam footage shows a Los Angeles police officer putting a knee on the neck of NBA player Jaxson Hayes as he repeatedly gasps, “I can’t breathe.”

When the Pelicans center asked for badge numbers police tased him.

Black men with hands on the steering wheels of a vehicles - getting shot for resisting arrest.

Tell me, my kind friend - when you take the chance of getting shot for just going outside with the wrong color, eventually what options do you have?

Oh, and if POC had participated in the peaceful protest of January 6, as our GOP colleagues stated - I suspect that they would still be putting toe tags on the bodies.

…as I was reading an article about Robert Kennedy, I was thinking this.

When POC leaders advocate for peace and unity - some (too many) end up dead.

When POC leaders advocate for confrontation to protect the community - some (too many) end up dead.

When decent White leaders advocate for peace, unity and non-confrontational dialogue - some (too many) end up dead.

Your police are carrying on a long tradition of treating POC like property to be handled and controlled. Well, one day, even a tame dog will bite.
