1. 20 years from now, no one will remember this incident.

In fact, I'd guess that in 20 years, not to many people will remember the Afghanistan war itself. It had practically no impact on the American culture, economy, or our way of life.

I'm old enough to have been alive during the Korean War, a similarly pointless war. Who talks about that today?

memories, and definitely in the history books
