in control of the levers of power (having agreed with the UN human rights are to be respected a bit more than before) and have a quasi parliament, the bigger and longer a vacuume will exist for ISIS-K or al-Qaida to move in and take over in part. Then the US will have to re-engage in war, though without boots on the ground. The Republicans must want that.
