EDIT: of the ones I've read, most of the replies are critical of him. The only sympathetic one used the "humans are complicated" defense, which is weak sauce.

I was sympathetic towards Engel because it appeared that he had an emotional attachment to Afghanistan from years of covering it, but this set of tweets has destroyed this image. What on earth is going on with him?
