Why being informed, staying involved and voting for every Democrat on the ballot matters---

Guess what? TERRIBLE laws passed by the minority party which was allowed to assume power because we sat on our butts and assumed "that couldn't happen here" are LAWS! They are just as enforceable by the awesome power of the government as any law passed by us.

"I didn't vote for that" is not a defense. Neither is "If I had realized-----!"

Either we, the majority, govern our nation or THEY will.

If not us, who? If not now, when?

1. Just get furious

At the number of otherwise reasonable people, many even Democrats, who eternally re-elect our Repug state rep because he’s a “nice guy” and he sends out a newsletter full of wonderful stuff he does on local issues. Then last fall he tried to have our votes discarded (PA). People wake the f*** up, he’s a Republican!

2. Straight Democrat, all the way down the ticket

For decades, the only time I haven't voted for a Democrat was during a local election, and I disapproved of how an elected official was doing his job. I wanted to do my little part in sending a message. He was running for re-election unopposed. I would have voted for him if he'd had an opponent, but his re-election was assured so not voting for him wasn't risky.
