My friend who is vaccinated and also is pro mask

Is taking advice from a group called FLCCC Alliance and will begin taking ivermectin as a precautionary therapeutic.

Does anyone offhand have information on this organization? I was pretty surprised that she has been sold on ivermectin.

Thanks for any information or insight you could share.

She said (earlier) that endometriosis is caused by demon semen?

She's in that group.
So ask your friend if she believes in "Astral sex with demons" as a cause of disease.

Here's more about the group--

So she's protected at least.

I wonder if she's having the, um, bowel impact that often comes with this drug.

would use such a drug for a viral infection that hasn’t been determined if it is effective against a corono viral infection

Sure, bleach, high levels of salt and a handgun shot at said Petri dish would have the same effect. Yet each introduce to a human body would end up with detrimental effects to a human if used at the same levels applied to the virus outside of the human body.

Still, the science shows it kills Covid!1!

Seriously, my head and heart both hurt for these people. This is just like hydroxychloroquine and oleandrin. Both were touted by these groups, and were the "cure" of the day in their time. Both were proven to be useless in studies after their fame was generated by unscrupulous medical sites.

Both of those previous "cures" had preprint studies which claimed they were a cheap, available cure. They weren't. As studies showed after the fact.

This current drug wasn't the "cheap" prevention for Zika infections as was hoped. Just one doctor used it as such, made a lot of claims and his claims were not replicated. People were scared of Zika then, rightly so, and wanted to believe. Not unlike now. If his claims some 4 years ago had been factual you'd have seen a massive push by the manufacturer to market the drug for Zika. Which never happened. Bunk.

Your friend, assuming she exists, should cease ingesting Ivermectin and listening to the FLCCC liars.

There was a very popular thread on DU this week about a Judge in OH ordering the West Chester Hospital to administer the drug to a Covid Patient in a coma. The Hospital refused. The doctor, Fred Wagshul, who prescribed it, is in the FLCCC.

Are you just posting this so we have to waste time slapping it down?

I don’t get why they think it’s a good idea to take it preventatively. You can’t just pop a few days worth of Tamiflu at the beginning of flu season and rely on that to keep from getting the flu.

And you should have looked this up yourself.

They have a website https://covid19criticalcare.com/ which is a dangerous rebuttal of accepted science. I'm sorry, but you must brush up on your research skills. This is a deniers website.

And I didn’t post this to make people reply unnecessarily.
She has lupus and her husband has prostate cancer. I think she is almost frantic about delta and is overreacting.
I knew ivermectin was not an approved drug for Covid prevention or therapeutics.
I did not know she was taking advice from this group that has been so discredited.

20. The AMA and two Pharmacy organizations came out yesterday with a statement

on ending the use of Ivermectin to treat and/or prevent COVID.

It's here. https://www.ama-assn.org/press-center/press-releases/ama-apha-ashp-statement-ending-use-ivermectin-treat-covid-19

The FDA also has a statement advising against the use of Ivermectin for COVID.

https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/why-you-should-not-use-ivermectin-treat-or-prevent-covid-19

The FLCCC Alliance is a group of renegade docs who have thrown out the accepted scientific methods for testing/prescribing/evaluating drugs for off-label or new uses for which a drug--in this case, Ivermectin-- has not been approved.

Your friend needs to abandon the idea.
