The accusations have been made ad nauseam. Republicans suggest that Obama did not label Benghazi a terrorist attack fast enough. We've heard it repeatedly, but there is no point--to their point. There is no big, over-arching theme onto which they can hang their baseless and flimsy assertions.
In short, it makes no sense.
Obama clearly and repeatedly has focused on the investigation and on obtaining justice. Americans saw at the debate, that Obama is obviously and deeply devastated by these losses; and that he is committed to hunting down these terrorists. That makes sense to Americans.
What the Republicans are doing--wildly flailing about with finger pointing and conspiracy cultivating--does not add up to with the American people.
The Republicans have run the tables on their Benghazi-Obama-blame-game. They've been pounding this ineffectual drum, with their hair on fire, for nearly a month now. Obama continues to trend upward in the polls.
It's not working for the Republicans. Instead of acknowledging that their flawed message is failing, Republicans foolishly turn up the volume. They refuse to accept that it doesn't matter if their bluster is soft or loud; or presented by Hannity or Limbaugh; or discussed by a gaggle of beauty queens on Fox News. Their central message doesn't make sense to sensible Americans--and turning up the volume only makes Republicans look like noisy toddlers banging their sippy cups on the crib railing.
Obama will continue moving forward with the investigation and working toward justice for Ambassador Stevens and our security personnel. This is how a commander-in-cheif manages an international tragedy.
The Republicans are managing this international tragedy like chumps in a frat house.
Despite their obvious failings--the right-wing noise machine will continue to exploit this tragedy for political gain.
It's not working. It's a shame. It's an American tragedy.

(26,173 posts)there are a lot of Americans that don't watch FOX news. When your facebook friend is still posting BS about the president not knowing or telling us it was a terrorist attack and the moderator lied... you start to understand when you are in the bubble you think everyone else is in there too. You don't understand the rest of the world is looking at you like you're bat shit crazy.
For the record when someone attacks a US embassy and kills people... do you have to wait for the president to officially label it a terrorist attack. Even had the president not called it an act of terror, who that fuck needs him to. How in your FOX bubble do you have to be that you can't think for yourself. Maybe Obama didn't say terrorist attack every 5 seconds for the next month in a half because he understands I have a fucking brain too.
Fox news kills your brain. Talking to someone in the bubble is like talking to someone in an alternate reality. Bush kept us safe, there were weapons of mass destruction, he didn't say acts of terror in the rose garden, corporation are people, Obama is a socialist from Kenya...
