Do you have a LATimes subscription?

If so, the original link may be allowing others to access it via your subscription.

Otherwise, LATimes is allowing people to view it for free/no paywall as long as the original link was encountered on FB.

If so, I didn't know that was happening ... and I find it disturbing.

And in a lot of cases I hear the pain is compounded by the fact it was, essentially, a choice

The cure is literally freely available to anyone but the foolish are not taking it! We need mandates NOW!
