An excellent legal remedy suggested on twitter

From @Richard Signorelli

Assuming the TX law is clearly unconstitutional & therefore illegal, I would advise anyone sued to consider asserting a counterclaim against the bounty hunter for violating their constitutional rights. Bounty hunters should be aware that this would not be a 1-sided battle.

of the Courts, the Republican fall back wet dream is a reality, legislating from the Bench. Mitch McConnell has turned our democracy, albeit flawed, into a minority ruled fascist clusterfuck.

but just don't care because well they could do it. These judges will not protect Americans, it has been proven.

It might actually be a HIPAA violation to report someone for having an abortion. It might depend on the circumstances. If it was a coworker, a patient or a client, it’s definitely a HIPAA violation.

As a call center worker who worked for healthcare providers and government agencies I’ve had HIPAA training and we were taught never to discuss sensitive health data without a legitimate healthcare need. Reporting an abortion is NOT a legitimate healthcare need.

I've always heard that it's hard to establish intent. What if the intent isn't to help, but it's to stick it to the repubs? Are you actions legal then?

This is so clearly a religious law. Embryos and fetuses are not people. These clump of cells in a womb have been given special rights over the woman' a body. What other living thing is allowed to live off a person without that person's consent?

If I need a kidney, does my mother now have to, against her will, give me one of hers? No. Because most Adults in the US have a right to do with their bodies what they want.

Only human embryos and fetuses get this special treatment because some religious idiot thinks it's a baby when a wiggly sperm lands on an egg. Such religious nonsense.
