Hey Elon Musk: my kid just reserved his Ford F-150 Lightening

He and his friends are your target consumers: young men and women with good jobs, many of them liberal. There was lots of debate among the crew between getting the Tesla “truck” and the Ford F-150. Elon, your stupid remarks make the choice easy. You are so stupid you think the people wanting to buy electric trucks are only Texans who already drive trucks. Trucks are the new SUV. Young people don’t like the social crap that’s happening in Texas and saying that you don’t like regulation is not a great selling point for a vehicle. Probably, the winner between Ford and Tesla will be who can manufacture them faster, but your dumb remarks

And this looks to be the one that will do that and still be affordable. I’m not keen on the name remembering the Mavericks of decades ago, but the ads and reporting seem to be good.I will give it awhile on the market before I make a change to see the reviews.

... until after the introductory model has a chance to work out all the kinks, flaws, oversights, burps and hiccups. (And after Consumer Reports has had a chance to give their opinion too.)

The bed is a little short compared to what we're accustomed to. But, then again, we have had fewer DIY or landscape projects that required long lumber or large plants.

It will be interesting to see if Leer comes up with a cap that fits its unique contours.

4. The Ford Lightening is a better overall idea than the Tesla Truck

It's better looking and better explained. I think a lot of people still see Tesla as a concept rather than a viable option. Ford, on the other hand, brings a level of credibility to an electric truck that Tesla will need years to match.

And let's face it, Musk doesn't do himself any favors. I give him credit for pushing the tech envelope but when he talks about social stuff, he sounds dumb.

One is the awesome power of Zeus. The other is a bleach job at the salon.

It seems like a good truck. I hope he can find charging stations, wherever it takes him. And I hope charging stations don't become politicized.

When I genuinely fork up a word, no one ever notices. But when it's spellcheck, someone swoops in like a hawk. I'm happy for them.

It was some aluminum box engine. We had to get the engine replace two times before it destroyed the car in a relatively short time. I really want to watch these cars.

I do give Elon credit for mainstreaming EVs, and advancing vehicle battery tech by leaps and bounds, but the cars themselves are utter shit, doubly so at the price point. Rather than a vehicle with the build quality of a 90s Kia and parts from Home Depot, I'd definitely opt for a Ford (maybe the Mustang Mach-E for me, tho), or the Porsche Taycan if I were going to drop rhe six figures a Model S costs.
