of reading the term "virtue signaling."

Any behavior that the right doesn't like, they immediately slap that label on it. They could call it being thoughtful, being considerate of others, being mindful. But no, it's "virtue signaling."

Just as some people resent anyone smarter than them, they also resent anyone more virtuous, especially if it's obvious. The term is an outgrowth of their insecurity and fear of being discovered as being ignorant or mean.

I's also a lot like how racists want to shut down all talk of race or racism. It hits too close to home — directly over target.

Whenever I go into stores or restaurants, I wear a mask to show solidarity with the employees who have no choice. As soon as I walk out I can take mine off, but they wear theirs all day.

I wear an N95 mask into stores because of all the unmasked people. And it kills me that so many of the people actually wearing masks have their noses uncovered.
