So they say.
I'm seeing this bullshit over and over now.
"Her husband (56, overweight, unvaccinated, diabetic) had been taking Ivermectin but she said,in hindsight, since the dose is based on bodyweight, if they had upped the dose, she believes they may have been able to bypass going into the hospital.
They went in to the hospital to get Oxygen for him because his pulse oximeter reading was 79.
The nurse (whom Dalley calls Nurse Ratchett) put a mask per hospital policy on her husband, even though he was already struggling to breathe. Dalley said, No. Dont do that to him, so the nurse immediately called security to stand by so Dalley would not say anything more to the nurse while she registered him. Dalley said the nurse was not a person you could talk do."

Actually, I find this nonsense rather hopeful. You don't trust the hospitals? They're killing you? STAY THE FUCK AWAY.

(24,644 posts)Thank you for your work. The hospice nurses that assisted both of my parents at the end of their lives were two of the best people I've ever come across my whole life. What you do is important.

(4,671 posts)are so comforting no pain; no upsetting thoughts...heck, if you got the time and are judged competent at some point before, you can choose legally to not eat or drink while your favorite music wafts in the background and your favored kin reads the Bible and you float into unconsciousness. Your ducks can be completely in a row; you and your grieving family can talk to the lawyer, shrink, reverend, and social worker, nurse, aide, volunteer. What a painless and beautiful experience all around...
Not saying this is necessarily a bad thing; but it is a choice when NOTHING(?) more can prolong life or help researchers to learn about whatever kills you and where debilitating pain and suffering will stretch out visitation by the Grim Reaper.

(2,809 posts)Although I can't imagine such an enterprise lasting long for obvious reasons. This may become a reality soon, as most healthcare corporate overlords are requiring COVID as yet another required vaccine.
There's no reason but this political BS for caregivers to be refusing.
Perhaps they could name the hospital "Typhoid Mary Memorial".

The guy's wife is a typical anti-vaxxer idiot. Her husband will probably die because she's an idiot. Maybe that's OK with her. He's probably an idiot, too, and she doesn't care.

(4,671 posts)cuz we promised to "obey" politically installed GOP RW morons and stayed too long at the fair as their constant policies discriminated, indeed, created their portion of the "have nots" and never wills. Now, some are STILL dealing with wrong-headedness and "fatal flaws" of embedded racism, misogyny, the losers who died for democracy
, the ones who spurned all but Biblical education; those born into and unluckily acquired perpetual physical and mental "ignorance" known as disabilities...so we can learn to be ever more compassionate(?) and sharing of our wealth(?). Not feeling the worthiness of my "sacrifices" either.
Tell me now how to continue to "fight back" for America's life's sake because I just used up at least one year of that time...in the solitary confinement of CoVid social distancing - all I got left is a single vote left in the fight...
IronLionZion
(50,999 posts)If you're still alive, then you are still in the fight. There may be fewer voters on the other side after this.
Then register people to vote and encourage them to vote for progressive policies and candidates. It's already making a difference with ending America's longest war, providing COVID stimulus and vaccines, infrastructure, and so much more. We still need to fight the good fight for voting rights, choice, and lots of other important issues.
