Well, well the US didn't support Obama with his push for the TPP. Now China

has almost a free hand with Afghanistan and neighboring countries. Japan was on board until it seemed hopeless. Even the GOP believed in PPP but because it was pushed by Obama they lined up against it.

Elections really do have consequences. We, the US, have lost a lot of creditability and influence in the world thanks to Trump and the GOP.

1. The TPP was a bad deal, and not just because of the horrid ISDS and patent provisions

The TPP would have been a fundamental driver for further wealth inequality, here and globally, and wealth inequality is the number one interlocked statistic when it comes to the well-being of a society on basically all levels of measurement.

Who controls the South China Sea and shipping lanes which is real political power in Asia. We lost all the work we had rebuilt since the Vietnam War in Asia. China has won and is moving along very well. I agree from an individual workers point this wasn’t the best. Was it a better forgiven policy for the USA? I think so.

4. Completely disagree, the cons far outweighed the pros, same for TTIP here in Europe.

They both failed and were never about fair trade. Neither will come into force with a similar set of strictures anytime soon. For that I am grateful.

5. Can you explain that?

Are you saying that if the USA had ratified the agreement, then other countries in it around the South China Sea would use their militaries to oppose China in it, successfully - but that they've said "if the USA doesn't want this trade treaty, we won't bother, and China can be top military dog?" That doesn't make sense to me, but it's the only thing I can think you might mean.

Would have rights from the countries (Vietnam, Indonesia, etc.) to help secure trade shipping routes. China has made islands in the South China Sea with with bomber capable airstrips.

2. The US is clueless about being a 21st century superpower. China is about to show them how to do it.

The US is still stuck in the Viet Nam era.
Bomb the village to save it.

With the same consequences as Viet Nam.

China is on its way to being global superpower and the US is bogged down fighting internal conflicts and still letting the MIC call the shots. And the MIC goal is only about enriching themselves.
