If anyone thinks what Biden is doing is not

a good move politically, let me tell them what would be a worse political move - if on election day in 2024 all the ICU beds are still full and we were on our fifth booster shot.

I'm thrilled he is doing this, and still think there is more he might do down the road. But this is an incredible start.

best interest, and he's not that concerned with political optics. He's doing good things, but his approval is dropping, and he doesn't seem to mind that much, because he keeps making hard decisions other people wouldn't do knowing their approval was plummeting.

But it's also about timing. He does some things that may register as unpopular in the moment, but they are usually things that will look good in the long run.

And, I think this move will also prove be a good move politically by the time we get to the mid term elections.

The vaccines have the ability to bring the number of daily cases way way down and there must be action taken now to maximize their impact and reduce the load on hospitals.

And that's precisely why this won't hurt him one bit. After all, the people most likely to froth at the mouth over this don't vote for Dems anyway.

Less covid, better quality of life for all and better economy.

This is a no brainer. No vaccine, you get cut off from jobs and concerts and events. You claim an exemption, okay, twice a day testing that you have to pay for, from a verified source, showing negative results. Oh the testing labs are backed up? Oh well, you can not come until your results are back.

Game, set, match vs the unvaxxed.
