Incel said he was compelled by 'righteous anger' to confront a group of women in bikinis on a beach

A group of women in Fort Collins, Colorado, have gone viral after a TikTok showed a man at the beach saying they were "flaunting" their bodies and comparing their bikinis to "pornography."

Two videos of the incident and a follow-up were posted on TikTok by user @ggarbagefairy, who states her name is Mia. Cumulatively, her three videos concerning the incident have gained over 4 million views. In one of the videos, one girl in the friend group said that most of them just turned 18 years old.

The man later responded in his own TikTok video, refusing to apologize for trying to "defend and protect young eyes."

In the first TikTok, which was posted on Tuesday, a man appears to walk up to the group of women on a beach, saying, "Why do you dress this way?"

And let me reiterate, I'm more concerned with our own homegrown Taliban like this guy than the one in Afghanistan.

The last decade or so of my life is proof that we are not over this. I endured years of sexual harassment, and lost opportunities, all thanks to "Well, just look at how she looks/dresses." And when I reached my breaking point and pushed back, I lost work, lost my reputation, lost friends. After a years-long legal battle, I've gotten some of it back. But I'll never get it all back. And the person who started all of it, couldn't control his hormones, etc.? He got away with it. All of it. I lost plenty. He lost nothing. Because here in Murka, women are walking vaginas and succubi, and men - especially important ones - are bullet-proof, and free to do and say whatever the fuck they want without consequences.

When it comes to how women are treated in this country, we are better than the Taliban... maybe. Though, that is debatable, and I am not sure we'll be better than the Taliban much longer at the rate shit is going.

Now, yes, thanks to that fat fucking orange dwarf planet than inhabited the White House the last four years, things have gotten far worse on this front. No question. We've taken about 70 steps backwards in one mere term thanks to Fat Q*bert and his Qult. But, no, we weren't over that even before him. And in my darker days - which is 95% of them anymore - I no longer believe things will get better.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but please note what this thread is about. The teen girls were at the beach in bikinis, like millions of others all summer, when this dysfunctional troublemaker bothered them. He got fired, they're on the beach in bikinis. And we heard about this little event somewhere because it's the kind of freak, "if it bleeds it leads" item that causes clicks and sells newspapers.

We have not taken 70 steps backward. What's happened is that some angry and unhappy people are revealing that they were always 70 steps behind. Yes, to try to get more power, RW powers are encouraging them to act out aggressively in this era. But they're angry and frightened because they've been losing to the rest of society all their lives, and still are as we discuss it here. This was not a friendly article, it's one about a loser freaking out and paying for it.

I'm fully aware of what this article is about. It's about women having to endure some asshole's bullshit because he either doesn't like how they're dressed, or, how they're dressed gets their hormones going - so instead of taking responsibility for themselves, they blame "those damned women". Something I am all too familiar with. First-hand. Something that actually started during the Obama era - because people like Dorn were always assholes. But since Qomrade Qovfefe got elected, these people "no longer have to be afraid" and have gotten worse.

I endured several years of sexual harassment, all of it over "Well, look how you dress", and when I reached my breaking point over it, I'm the one who paid the price. Not the harassers. Not the people who turned a blind eye because the ringleader is a "very important person". Me. The fight to wind up back at square one took over two years of my life and cost me greatly. Some of the cost and damage of all of it? I could live 10 lifetimes and some of that will never be restored. Once again: The only thing I got was back to square one. The people who made my life a living hell, and their enablers, have seen absolutely no consequences for their actions - and they never will.

The asshole in this article got fired? Swell. I'm glad. That's one of of... How many? How many act like this and get away with it? Get a pat on the back? I don't care what the exact number is - the answer is "too many". Even if one person gets away with acting like this jackass did, it's one too many. Again: My own Logan Dorn never faced punishment. In fact, I'd say he and his cohorts got the opposite of punishment.

I'm glad this jackass paid the price for his sexual harassment. How about the rest of them also facing the music?

No. We haven't taken 70 steps backwards... yet. Shit doesn't change, though, and we will. If it isn't behavior like this, it's Texas' assault on women and abortion rights. If it's not Texas, it's the QOP ratfuqqers trying a hostile takeover of California.

I'm also deeply moved that they're angry and frightened. So am I. The difference is that people like me, or these women on the beach, are trying to mind our own business and not bother people, while Ya'll-qaeda thinks everything is their fucking business. They sure want their freedom while trying to deny others theirs. Yeah. I'm tired of it.

In closing, I'd like to again say I'm fully aware of what this thread is about. I replied, based on my own experiences and thoughts and feelings. Which, you know, is what I thought DU was for. Can't say I'm so sure of that after your response to me. Just saying...

Murka... Now that I hate. And I hate the qult in this country that is working so hard to destroy America and replace it with Murka. I hate how nothing seems to shut them up or slow them down. Drumpf wins? They get louder and meaner, seeing it as a mandate to do this shit. Drumpf loses? They get louder and meaner as they throw a temper tantrum (who's the Sore Loserman now, Q-Anobrains?)

Sadly, though, there are enough of these creeps still in power that despite having Biden in office and Biden on our side, it seems like we're taking steps backwards (Texas, the beach incident in this article). And that's why some of us are still angry and quite scared.

20 years ago, it was "I now have the tallest building in New York" - because nothing honors the loss of 2,700 people like boasting about your "greatness". Last night, it was serving as a ringside commentator at a boxing match. I don't follow boxing, and even if I did, I would not have watched that match. But I'm sure he had some fine, very stable genius things to say during the match. Such as boasting about raking in money.

He and his Qult are the biggest pack of bullies and hypocrites to ever exist. There's no longer any doubt that the cruelty is the point. Meanwhile, all they do is scream about their freedoms - while latching onto a movement whose very goal is to erase all freedoms for POC, immigrants, LGBTQ's, people who don't follow their religion (and, no, it's not Christianity), and of course, women who won't put out for them on command. Freedom my ass: What they want is tyranny of the very loud minority.

Mon Sep 13, 2021, 11:27 AM

he had studied and described the kind of people here who had become loyal Nazis in Germany. Their potential was scary as hell, and you could see it in some individuals, but at that time they just made it clear that it really could happen here, a warning that's being borne out.

Authoritarian Aggression. When I say authoritarian followers are aggressive
I don’t mean they stride into bars and start fights. First of all, high RWAs go to church
enormously more often than they go to bars. Secondly, they usually avoid anything
approaching a fair fight. Instead they aggress when they believe right and might are
on their side. “Right” for them means, more than anything else, that their hostility is
(in their minds) endorsed by established authority, or supports such authority. “Might”
means they have a huge physical advantage over their target, in weaponry say, or in
numbers, as in a lynch mob. It’s striking how often authoritarian aggression happens
in dark and cowardly ways, in the dark, by cowards who later will do everything they
possibly can to avoid responsibility for what they did. Women, children, and others
unable to defend themselves are typical victims. Even more striking, the attackers
typically feel morally superior to the people they are assaulting in an unfair fight. We
shall see research evidence in the next chapter that this self-righteousness plays a huge
role in high RWAs’ hostility.

Believe it or not, researchers are not allowed to organize murderous mobs to
study hostility. So we have to study authoritarian aggression in subtler ways. For
example: You are a judge presiding at the trial of “The People vs. Robert Smith.” ...

For anyone who hasn't read it, he made this lay report on his research available on line free because he felt it was very important that people know.

https://theauthoritarians.org/options-for-getting-the-book/

Freedom, my ass, all right. They're worked up and eager to be far meaner, crueler, and more murderous than they've been able to indulge so far. But they know they are the good people.

But clearly need to.

I am somewhat familiar with the history of those who willingly became loyal to the Nazis in Germany. I've of course witnessed that attitude and mindset first-hand, especially when that hostility is aimed toward POC or LGBTQ's. Do I understand it? No. But it's one of those things are no matter how often I witness evil, I see it's evil but I just can't understand why a person would do such things.

Altemeyer's book might be something I need to read, though, I imagine his book would definitely fall under "informative but unpleasant." I'm glad it's free and I've bookmarked that (thank you). I hope him making his work available opens a lot of people's eyes, because I think a lot of people still don't fully see what's going on and has been going on for years.

You're absolutely right. Meaner, crueler, and murderous, yet sadly thinking they're the good people (pro tip: good people don't intentionally harm others). And freedom for some but not all is not freedom - it's tyranny of the majority.

What scary times we live in.

revelations, even funny at times. I imagine his thick, graph and chart-laden tome for professionals is a lot less so.

Scary times all right, and you won't change your mind about that when you read about the kind of people who become their leaders. The Republican Party seems to have quite a collection of "dominators" and "double high" monsters among its leadership. In the clips below, the "high RWAs" are the authoritarian followers, the "social dominators" the smiling villains they love to follow, the "double highs" the worst of the worst leaders. I overclipped, having not seen it for a while. But I had to skip so much really good stuff and never got to a bunch more. So, a sample I was having fun revisiting (read, don't read, I've copied it away to use as a teaser):

Suppose you were applying for a leadership position in a right-wing religious/political movement--a movement hell-bent on gaining total power so it could impose its beliefs and rules of conduct on everyone forever. (I realize this may not be your No. 1 career choice, but work with me a bit here.) As part of your application you’re asked to take an aptitude test. Indicate whether you dislike, or favor, the sentiments below on a -4 to +4 basis.

This country would be better off if we cared less about how equal all people are.
Some groups of people are simply not the equals of others.
Some people are just more worthy than others.

These items are from the Social Dominance Orientation scale, and if you want the job of Dictator For Life you’ll agree with them, coming out foursquare against equality. ...

That’s why the two tests could predict so much together: each was identifying a different clump of prejudiced persons--sort of like, “You round up the folks in the white sheets over there, and I’ll get the pious bigots over here.” So it looks like most really prejudiced people come in just two flavors: social dominators and high RWAs. Since dominators long to control others and be authoritarian dictators, and high RWAs yearn to follow such leaders, most social prejudice was therefore connected to authoritarianism. ... You don’t have to be a genius to grasp why someone would want to lead armies of people dedicated to doing whatever he wants. ...

Social dominance scores correlate very strongly with these answers to the Power Mad scale. High scorers are inclined to be intimidating, ruthless, and vengeful. They scorn such noble acts as helping others, and being kind, charitable, and forgiving. Instead they would rather be feared than loved, and be viewed as mean, pitiless, and vengeful. They love power, including the power to hurt in their drive to the top. ...

High RWAs, we know, strongly tend to be religious fundamentalists. Social dominators do not. In fact, most dominators only go to church for marrying and burying. This would be “Three strikes and ye’re out” as far as the religiously ethnocentric high RWAs are concerned except for one thing. Dominators can easily pretend to be religious, saying the right words and claiming a deep personal belief, and gullible right-wing authoritarians will go out on almost any limb, walk almost any plank to believe them. (tRump) ...

Social dominators thus admit, anonymously, to striving to manipulate others, and to being dishonest, two-faced, treacherous, and amoral. It’s as if someone took the Scout Law (“A scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, ...”) and turned it completely upside down: “A ‘winner’ is deceitful, manipulative, unfair, base, conniving, ...”

Another difference between authoritarian leaders and followers comes into view when you untangle the roots of their hostility. Social dominators show greater prejudice against minorities and women than high RWAs do, but the followers are much more hostile toward homosexuals. Why should this be the case? ... (What TX's Republican double-high leaders are doing comes to mind.) ...

... 5 to 10 percent of my samples score highly on both tests. I call these folks “Double Highs,” and while you only find them by the handful, they are a fascinating group to study. For starters, they win the gold medal in the Prejudice Olympics, whether you’re talking about prejudice against racial and ethnic minorities, hostility toward homosexuals, or men-who-hate-women-who-want-to-control-their-own-lives. ... So who are these Double Highs? Simply put, they are “religious” social dominators. (Pence?)

All in all, they exhibit an amalgam of bad traits and inclinations. They’re like a child who’s got Uncle Harry’s splotchy skin and Aunt Mildred’s difficult temperament and Grandpa Pete’s bow legs and... But don’t feel too sorry for them. With their followers’ eager help, they’re ruining America. ...

Want another example of an apparent Double High in a position of power, who is also being destroyed because he went too far? When George W. Bush was declared the winner of the 2000 presidential election by the five Republican-appointed justices on the Supreme Court, I remember some commentators saying that he had less of a mandate to carry out his policies than any president in American history. But I also thought, because I knew what was turning up in the research on social dominance, ... With eagerly subservient Republican majorities controlling both houses of Congress, Bush and his vice-president could do anything they wanted. And so they did. Greed ruled, the rich got big, big tax cuts, the environment took one body blow after another, religious opinions decided scientific issues, the country went to war, and so on. Bush and his allies had the political and military power to impose their will at home and abroad, it seemed, and they most decidedly used it. A stunning, and widely overlooked example of the arrogance that followed streaked across the sky in 2002...

And what they got away then taught them to stop piking around and really go for the gold when they got control again in 2016... Mercifully, tRump and company followed the pattern so far, overreached, and hurt themselves... They need more power.

You know who said that to me? A female bisexual friend of mine.

Oh, wait. Pardon me... A former friend of mine. We finally had an enormous falling out last year when she wanted to claim COVID was a hoax, everyone's using it to attack her beloved Qomrade Qovfefe, etc.. Mind you, at that point, I'd already lost two people to COVID - I'm now up to six. So I was not in the mood for the "fake news!" shit in the early days of a very serious pandemic.

But, yes. Every Qult member I've spoken to has either blown off "grab her..." as "locker room talk", or acts and speaks in such a way that leaves little doubt that they want to be able to "grab her..." too, just like their "god".

Instead of generating the outrage it deserved, it seems like it's normalized this kind of talk and behavior out of 40% of the country - because David Dennison can do no wrong in their eyes.

The fact anyone gleefully voted for this pond scum (with apologies to pond scum) disgusts and frightens me. The fact so many women did... I still have no words.

The only way some men can prevent themselves from doing that is to have women wear full, loose, head to toe, body covering. That is both the weakness of man and the strength of evolution.

Works both ways Dildo Logan Dorn.

You cannot impose your will on others. And if your family was upset you should have left and gone somewhere else.

They think they - and only they - deserve free speech. And that said free speech comes free of rebuttal, criticism or consequences of any kind. They want to say whatever the hell they want and get candy and flowers tossed at them, no matter how vile the shit that comes out of their mouth is.

It doesn't help that so many people for so many years have just let them get away with it. "Freedom of speech. They can say whatever they want." Yep. They can. But so many people have forgotten it works both ways, and we have the freedom to respond to their stupidity and evil with "You're a fucking moran!"

So, you know what? I'll gladly do so: Dildo Dorn, you're a fucking moran. Get a life, and stay in your own damned lane.

It's clear that he is so triggered by their appearance that he took the incredible step of approaching them about it. Why? Is he feeling urges to harm them physically or sexually? Is it triggering his hatred or rage towards women? Or is he struggling to control an urge to try to flirt and/or have sex with them?

And I've been saying it for 20 years now. "We gotta get them before they get us!" "OMGZ! DA TALIBANZ!!!" "OH NO!! SADDAM!" Each and every time I'd hear the fearmongering over people halfway around the world, I'd express my fear for the American Taliban and Ya'll-qaeda here in Murka. That there are millions here who'd love to do the same thing here, and someone needs to stop them. They're not as big of a threat as the Taliban or al-Qaeda or ISIS. They're a bigger threat because they're right here, in our country, walking among us already.

The only fucking difference between the Taliban and the American Taliban is when the Taliban marches on a capitol, they succeed in taking it over, unlike the losers here. We got lucky on 1/6, and I fear the next time we may not be.

Otherwise? No difference. Same shit, different assholes.

I think you need to go and reread my post at the link you have so carefully saved. You have forgotten what it was that I wrote all those years ago.

I'm always puzzled by people who chime in with a reference to some post of mine from the long ago past, but who can't even remember what I posted way back then. Since you don't link to the post to call me out, nobody else gets your point. But, you got it wrong in the first place, so that's no surprise.

The women can be heard asking him to leave, with several of them calling him "embarrassing" and one asking if he would be approaching men wearing swimsuits in the same way. He said that he wouldn't, because "that's a lot different."
