Here is the problem.

There is nothing wrong with two intelligent people having different opinions on political matter. Discussing or even debating these differences can be educational and a good exercise for the mind. But where it all falls apart is when the person with the opposite view is so brainwashed and stupid that they are not even a worthy adversary. And that is where we are now.

A debate of contrasting ideas can only occur when both parties agree on the basic facts of reality. When one party is untethered from this fundamental, chaos ensues.

That’s where we are now.

A grotesquely misplaced loyalty, to be sure, but that's what they stand for.

The Republican Party and the privileged subset of America it represents.

A society where men have privilege over woman, whites over blacks, etc.

That's what they stand for.

Beyond that, sure, they'll pretend to care about any "principle" when and only when it serves the interests of the Republican Party.

They certainly don't care about a balanced budget or thr security of America or even if Americans die preventable deaths.

and I don't remember that. Funniest thing I ever remember on that show was when he had Bill O'Rielly on and Bill was trying to convince evrybody that he was actually a nice guy and that persona you see on his show was "just an act".

Colbert said "If you're an act, then what am I?"

"OMG.. this is insane. Do you know how much the pharmacy tical (sic) company is getting from all this testing???!!! Billions and Billions. in the Bible money is a demon. Follow the money.. pharmacies and the end times..evil.demonic..billions of money to the pharmacies... Higher drug prices..one of our president s lowered diabetic medication to I believe what... $40.00 a month? Maybe lower than that ..while Biden brought the drug price back up to the cost is had been before!! Squeezing every little bit of money these people didn't have! Who pays for all this testing equipment? I think we're supposed to start buying our own ...soon? Is that right too?"

They don't care about logic, rational arguments or facts. Being able to ignore all of those and maintain their "Faith" is to them a show of their devotion and their strength.

Until we take that into account, there will be no getting through to them.

Have I EVER had Covid?
I developed COPD issues in January of 2020.
Nobody got sick at home and I got my double jab early this year.
Yet the issues remain.
Will this test tell me that?
