attention to galas and award shows. I am not a big 'celeb' follower at all. I also detest all royals, including ours both in the UK and here in Sweden (although Sweden's are harmless enough, I just am an arch anti-royalist).

As far as the Met Gala and AOC goes, I would hope she doesn't make it an annual thing. It served a one off purpose, I suppose, but to start going every year would be bad form for me.

aesthetics and most on this board is vast indeed. Not just in terms of fashion either. It is fine, as there is little commonality in terms of our geographical and socio-cultural upbringing. To each their own.

I do agree that much of Browne's output works mostly for people with an ectomorphic body type, as it is very structural in its lines and form. I love angularity and atypical cuts, and a some non-binary projection in what I wear.

I thought her outfit at the inauguration was atrocious and have yet to see her in anything that was even slightly attractive. I guess I am showing my age but I think she has absolutely horrible taste. It appears he does as well.

When they appeared at the inauguration I actually said to my husband "who is that women that they keep showing over and over again who is wearing that absolutely hideous outfit" and only later realized who it was.

Oh well, I'm just old.

EVERY outfit I've seen her in is hideous, seems it's not about looks or talent but who you're related to.

It doesn't shock me at all the large chasm in style and taste between myself and many on the board, given the multitude of differences we have. I would like to see more examples of what people actually do approve of or like when they go full blast on certain things.

so I'm certainly not positioned to judge their clothing as anything other than, well... clothing.

Shoulda seen my Sr. prom tux-- powder blue, ruffled collar reinforced with feathered hair and a gallon of Polo cologne. Even today, I wince at the color-faded polaroid.

But, as so many critics have never worn anything that would be or could be mocked by the present or by the future, their distempers will be taken for all they are in fact, worth (e.g., "I was so annoyed by the way she dressed, I moved to the other side of the airplane." )

Thanks for the reading some of the replies!

I wonder if the same folks are going to post in threads railing against concept cars?
