My house in Houston built in 1930.

It is over built.

Built off the ground, almost 3 ft.

The guy who built it survived the 1900 hurricane in Galveston.

Feels strange bring so far away.

5. We got .01 of an inch of rain today in San Antonio. That was it...it's blown off to the east.

7. Fort Bend County joining the chat. Rain all day, gusty winds off and on. Flood watch.

Hurricane prep kit paying off. Plenty of gas for the genny, cases of water, tarps, and batteries in all the flash lights. Ready as we’ll ever be.

Our worst winds were last night. We're on the dry side. The only clue that there was a tropical storm passing close by was a small storm surge.

We are in Stage 2 flood alert which should be okay. We had no flooding during Ike or Harvey
