Its time for a real change. Sally Yates should be the new director of the FBI. RT if you agree.

(4,345 posts)3. I'm with you all the way but seeing that there's never been a director of the FBI who
was a democrat I'd say her chances are slim to none. Even D presidents choose R FBI Directors. WTF!!!

(9,304 posts)9. She turned down a Senate nomunation.
If she were to also turn down this nomination, what about Alexander Vindman?

(40,718 posts)10. I believe that was for Dept. of Justice ... Am I right?
She turned down either Attorney General, or Assistant AG, I believe.
The FBI Director is a different position. It's meant to be independent of Presidential politics, and the appointment is usually for 10 years.

(9,304 posts)12. Not exactly.
There was a push from Democrats in Georgia to encourage her to run for one of those two Senate seats - I think the one Ossoff won, but it doesn't matter - she absolutely refused even to consider it.

(40,718 posts)13. Yes she definitely will not run for elected office

would be great. She would bring education, experience, independence, and character strength the job.
