I had seen news stories about similar experiences of people who could not get treatment due to unvaccinated Covid people taking up all the beds, but to read about the experience of a DU member (one of us!) made it even more real and made me even more angry and frustrated at the selfish, irresponsible anti-vaxxers among us.

I'm so glad, though, that you made it through this scary event, and please don't beat yourself up about falling into bad habits. With the stress we've all been under since 2016, it's more than understandable.
