Seriously, how could Mike Pence winning the nomination not be a gift from heaven for us?

First of all, the sheer numbers. Can't imagine a single person who voted for Biden voting for Pence. He allowed a lunatic to get away with what he did. That's more than half the voters right off the bat.

Does he think because he followed the Constitution on 1/6 that we should thank him forever for that? It's like thanking someone for not pulling the plug on your ventilator in the hospital.

Secondly, people wanted to hang him! Let that sink in. They left a note on his desk that Justice was coming! His pal trump dissed him. Lindsay Graham asked trump to mend bridges with Pence and trump said " no way". In a million years, can't ever see trump backing him. How could he, given his his ego.

So that's all voters, less trump lovers, less Dems and Indies who voted for Biden. Who the hell is left?

Mike Pence needs to get someone to check his IQ

They know he isn't Trump .

If the economy is bad or there is some other issue and they want change they might just think he is competent enough to fix the issue even if they disagree with him on many other issues.

The opposite can be true also with someone fucked up like Trump .

The point is that regardless of who THEY nominate we have to support whoever our nominee is.

But he lacks that vindictive, bully streak that Trump has, & I think that is what really revs up the base. Name-calling, goading people publicly, humiliating people on the national stage, I just don't see Pence doing that kind of in-your-face stuff.

Also, he has zero personality & charisma. That fly on his head has more than Pence.

Most trumpists are religious fundamentalists who behind a strong leader will restore virtue and greatness to a nation being destroyed by the left. We see at the rallies a few thousand who cheer tRump's aggressive vulgarity, but most trumpists are embarrassed by it. Believe it or not (believe it), a majority are repelled by overt racism; it's not "who" they are.

They always cheer loudest for promises to strike us own and rescue America from us. They want a leader who reflects both a capacity for ruthless destruction of the left with the righteous goodness and closeness to god that is theirs alone.

And the rest of the respectable right, who always deplored tRump, will again vote for whoever the debased base chooses because they've become all about beating us also. Their best chance is someone who can draw back the right-leaning indies. And multi-hidden-faced VP Pence could appeal to all.

Btw, imo, the lightning speed with which some turned into a lynch-Pence mob should be a clue to the fanatic commitment they'll give to whoever they've chosen as their leader, not just tRump, to their volatility, and also and to how quickly tRump's successor could turn them on anyone.

He is a religious fundamentalist and capable of being far crueler in application of his beliefs than nonfundamentalists realize.

He's a former RW radio succubus and extremely good at manipulating those who've become "trumpists." Don't imagine his previous image as tRump's most loyal handservant into a new image of RW strongman. Complete loyalty to a current leader is something they understand and admire.

His challenge would be becoming top contender in a field filled with sociopaths, but his strong religious fundamentalist creds and his religion-favoring achievements as VP (real) would be assets others didn't have. If he had tRump's endorsement?
