Army officer who says he's resigning rather than get the covid vaccine admits to Hannity he's taken all the other Army vaccines, such as smallpox and anthrax, but is refusing the covid vax because "this is really about the freedom of the American people."

(23,373 posts)member of the military is required to take?
Even as young civilian, I had a fairly good list of required vaccines to take before I could travel to Germany. If I had been travelling just as a normal tourist I would have been required to take fewer but since I was travelling to visit my uncle in the military I had to meet their requirements
So I had to have a 2 shot series of typhus along with other things. My MD kept us on track for every required vax for school anyway so this was the only one I had never had before.
Man that made me sick.
Typhoid vax was already old hat to me because our dr gave it to everyone who had a well.
When you live downstream from a cave entrance or a variety of sinkholes and your well comes from that water precautions are needed whether or not your water is tested regularly
Interestingly when he started giving the Typhoid as a SubQ injection instead of intramuscular, the shot reactions were insignificant. We got them every 2 years.

"Most scientists identify as Democrats (55%), while 32% identify as independents and just 6% say they are Republicans."
Assuming that the Army officer is a stubborn Republican, that is, the chances of which I'd estimate at near-certainty.
In their minds, they can't possibly be the problem. So there must be yet another conspiracy theory that explains anyone or any group butting heads with them.

(197 posts)A rare disease, human anthrax is most common in Africa and central and southern Asia. It also occurs more regularly in Southern Europe than elsewhere on the continent, and is uncommon in Northern Europe and North America. Globally, at least 2,000 cases occur a year with about two cases a year in the United States.
Two cases per year in the U.S. vs. over 650,000 deaths. I seemed to have missed the part where Insanity asked him about this.

I can't imagine that his commanders are crying about it.
It is so sad that someone who wants to volunteer to serve is that gullible and easily led. A shame.

(5,298 posts)If he wants to die, he is free to put a bullet in his head. He should not be free to kill other people. That is exactly what is happening right now because of people that are "free" not to get vaccinated. They are the reason people that have heart attacks, people that need dialysis, people in bad accidents, people that have appendicitis, etc. cannot get the care they need is because all the hospital beds are being taken up with unvaccinated covid patients. Hell, even Children's Hospitals in this country now have triage tents in the parking garages.

(1,654 posts)Now that troops are home from Afghanistan with not as many deployments we won't be needing as many bodies and thus the Army will not put up with as much crap from the ranks to maintain readiness. He knows he won't have as much "freedom" any longer.

(16,682 posts)Fuckstick had the option of being kicked out for being a fat, out of shape dipshit, or find a way to "grift" off of his inability to meet basic physical fitness standards.
He obviously chose the grift.
If he wasn't going to get kicked out for violating a lawful order, he was surely going to get kicked out because he had reached the size limit for uniforms, unless they approved maternity uniforms for him.
And no, this is not fat shaming. I served 30 years in the Navy and meeting the minimum standards was a challenge for me during the last few years of my service.
I guarantee you that this guy does not meet those standards.
Would love to see his past couple of FITREPS. Bet they would show that his career was already about to be over.
He needs to be Court Martialed. That way, he will have the FreeDumb that comes from not being tied to Government VA benefits.
You want your freedom? Don't just nibble on the barrel...pull the fucking trigger!

(12,599 posts)The still shots of him in uniform are OK but there is no telling the age of these.
Lieutenant Colonel is frequently a terminal rank. The promotion to Colonel is a big deal. It's the first promotion that requires Senate approval and is a big pay raise. This clown was OK for promotion to Lieutenant Colonel but it is unknown whether he would have made Colonel. At a minimum, we have good evidence that he is an idiot, so I'm betting promotion was not in the cards.
At this point, thus endeth another brilliant military career.
