is fighting as much as he can for America to survive a pandemic and get the country back to some kind of normalcy. What is wrong with some of our fellow Dems?
Edited to add that my Prime Minister got elected with a minority, I have no idea why conservatives are winning, I'm in Canada.

(19,974 posts)wasting effort here wailing about the end of times because the Bills are doomed, doomed, call the offices of the likes of Manchin etc to demand they vote for Biden's agenda. Biden, Pelosi and Schumer are on this, and if they can't get all the Dems to vote for this, then have at the conservative Dems.

(5,704 posts)can get his agenda done and the American people is aware that he has their best interest at heart, Reminds me of how the rethugs opposed President Obama. Who votes for these clowns who does not care for infrastructure, jobs, etc.

(19,974 posts)I have enough faith in Pelosi especially, to get this done. I've consistently said here that let's see the Biden Bill that Manchin kills, because after all his whinging, he does vote blue in the end. The term sausage making was never as apt as it is now.

(19,974 posts)The real issue is the small rump of the Democratic Party in the House and Senate who are wrapped up in anti Biden agenda donor money. Biden's agenda is wildly popular and those Dems must know that, so why is it such a hard sell.... that's the question to ask.

(53,994 posts)What I mean by that is some are not seeing the forest for the trees. They aren't acknowledging the razor thin margins and instead of coming together, after a hellish 4 years, and working as a team, some are still trying to act as if things are normal in our country and it's business as usual. It isn't. We are in a cold civil war and it is looking to heat up; we have to come together until we can get back to a balance. Bipartisanship doesn't work when the other side is filled with terrorists intent on creating a dictatorship!

(13,503 posts)where do you get that?
There is some legitimate criticism of the administration... as there would be with any NORMAL administration. There are certain things we may disagree with and that makes sense because no politician should be a god unto himself and the party. Trump was literally that, and I don't want that in a leader.
There is a little division between the progressive arm of the party and the mainstream part, but the former is a minority here. The majority of the Dems overwhelmingly support the Biden agenda (with some quibbles here and there) and the divisions are quite miniscule.
I can't speak to Canadian politics, but I suspect that Trudeau won by a minority because your conservative Candidate wasn't a total crack pot. They garnered more votes because they didn't have a thuggish authoritarian wannabe leading the party.
