In reality, Trump is running one of the oldest cons in the World. Over and over and over ad nauseum. Nobody. Has. Ever. Called. Him. On. It.

I find that astounding.

The con goes like this: Stranger shows up in town and checks into a hotel. Stranger not-so-discretely has a large bag full of something placed in the hotel safe. Implying it's contents are of great value. Locals treat stranger like royalty thinking at some point the con will reward them with some of the contents of the bag. "He's good for it.", they tell each other.

One dark and stormy night, when the con feels some of his chits may be called soon. He vanishes from town. The townfolk are outraged until they remember the bag in the safe. Which they rush to open. Finding it filled with nothing except rocks or newspaper.

Angered. The locals absorb the loss and move on. Legally, there's nothing they can do.

Act II: A stranger shows up in town... etc.

All perfectly legal. Buyer, beware.

As Sherlock Holmes once said, "Sometimes the Law and Justice are at odds."
